Car wash made of sandwich panels: construction technology

03Jun

When constructing buildings exposed to high humidity and temperature fluctuations, it is important to use materials that provide thermal insulation, airtightness, and durability. That is why a car wash built from sandwich panels is a very practical solution. This choice is especially important when a project needs to be completed quickly.

Advantages of the technology

Sandwich panels consist of outer metal layers and insulation inside, which provides high thermal and sound insulation. Thanks to the factory readiness of the panels, the structure is erected in a short time, and the finishing costs are minimal. A car wash built using this technology does not require a massive foundation, is suitable for year-round operation, and withstands aggressive environments well: humidity, detergents, and temperature fluctuations.

Main stages of construction

The construction process consists of several steps. Each of them plays an important role, affecting the operational characteristics of the facility. These are the following stages:

  • Site preparation. The site must be cleared, leveled, and, if necessary, a drainage system must be installed.
  • Pouring the foundation. Usually, a slab or strip foundation is used, depending on the loads and soil type.
  • Assembling the frame. A metal frame is mounted on the foundation, which becomes the basis for attaching the panels.
  • Installation of sandwich panels. The panels are installed on the facades and roof, ensuring tightness and thermal insulation. At this stage, openings for gates and windows are formed.
  • Engineering communications. Water supply and sewerage pipes are laid, and electrical systems and ventilation are installed.
  • Equipment installation. After completion of construction work, washing equipment, automation, and control systems are installed.

Sandwich panels are chosen for car washes due to their resistance to external influences and minimal maintenance requirements. The surfaces are easy to clean, not prone to corrosion, and the insulation retains heat even in winter. This reduces heating costs and increases staff comfort.

A modern car wash built using sandwich panels combines reliability, energy efficiency, and speed of implementation. This technology allows the project to be adapted to individual requirements without sacrificing quality and performance. With proper design and compliance with all stages of installation, the structure will serve for many years without unnecessary repair and maintenance costs.

The resistance of sandwich panels to the climate of Uzbekistan

The climate of Uzbekistan places high demands on building materials. In summer, the air temperature often exceeds +40 °C, in winter frosts up to -20 °C are possible in some regions, and sudden fluctuations between day and night temperatures create additional stress on the enclosing structures. Therefore, when choosing sandwich panels, it is important to […]
